Lovely food, its quite expensive though. Had a cod bites and chips and sausage and chips with gravy. Also had to cans of pop 21.50. Its worth it as is the best in the area. The cod bites and chips was enough for x2 people if youre on a budget. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free chips fri and sat

We regularly stop at Posh when we are looking for a good Fish Supper treat. Fresh, cooked to order, so it’s nice and hot - delicious! Fridays are busy as it’s so popular, but we always get good service.

Well that was a shame! Had high hopes that PF&C would remain consistent with high standard enjoyed on our last two visits. However poor portions, cold chips and oily haddock on todays visit have scuppered that notion. Combined with being at the more expensive end of the market, think I'll give somewhere else a try. Shame.

We ordered 2 portions of fish and chips on a Friday evening, the delivery time was very quick and the person delivering was friendly. However, the standard of the fish, especially the batter, was poor and soggy, the chips were also soggy. I don’t mind paying a bit extra for good quality food, however I wouldn’t be paying these prices for fish and chips again at the “Posh” fish and chip shop.

The cod is fresh with a fairly decent crispy batter & the Battered sausages do the job when you want to eat unhealthily. The chips are hit and miss, sometimes good, sometimes slightly undercooked. They occasionally forget your order when they are very busy on Friday evenings. Overall not bad.

Thought we would try the posh chip shop, however same as many others in the area that cannot fry fish in batter, all undercooked and soggy, chips also soggy, see photos, will not be buying again, not recommended

Lovely chips and great curry sauce. Batter could have been crispier on the battered sausage but still delicious.

Awful food. £20 for vegan banana blossom, chips and a vegan battered sausage. I get vegan food can be pricey plus the Deliveroo charges on top. Wouldn't be so much of an issue if it was nice. I remember getting some banana blossom "fish" from Bristol years ago and the batter was dry and crispy (in a good way) and banana blossom was flakey (so can be done) so was excited when I saw this locally. Batter was so stodgy, greasy and congealed and banana blossom was so slimy it went in the bin. I'm not a picky eater but it's made me feel so ill, I had to throw it away. Also, the vegan battered sausage was not what you'd expect. You'd think you were getting a jumbo/large battered sausage as is the norm in a chip shop and I have had vegan ones from elsewhere in the past which are the standard large size. Nope, this was a normal sized Quorn sausage or something - well, on the small side of normal - 4 blooming quid. 🤦‍♀️ Couldn't write it. Got a partial refund through Deliveroo, at least.

After reading the recent reviews, I was a bit worried about going to try it out as the new local. I was pleasantly surprised to see that on the wall they had a top 40 UK fish and chip shop 2023 sign up, and when we brought the food home it was quite delicious. The cod was well cooked and batter crispy and the chips were good chippy chips. Will gladly go again.

Brilliant menu serving top class food. An awesome selection of choice of fish, cod, haddock, hake to items rare items such as calamari. Their chips weren't limp or soggy, crisp and really crunchy on the outside while fluffy and soft inside as what chips should be. Fantastic experience. Recommend trying to all
